Friends I've Lost Over the Years

When the life you've lead has been as broken and unpredictable as mine you tend to leave a lot of great people behind that you might never see again. Let's hope some of these folks stumble across this page or Google search themselves. I'd like to hear from any of them. Anybody from Langham Creek class of 97' should drop me a line also if you called me friend. I hope all of your lives are going well.

Childhood and Adolescence:
(Houston, Tx)

Mario Arriola, Felipe Curiel, Clay Cockerham, Tammy Ellis, D.J. Fairfax, Erik Hinklin, Jessica Horne, Jason Laban, Orlando Longoria, Jason Minton, Jose Morales, David Sanders, And too many others...

Boulder, Co
(County Jail Included)

Mitch (A friend who was diagnosed with Leukemia at 19 while I sat in jail.)

Melinda (CU student and friend that worked at half-way house in Longmont, Co)

Dominic Archuletta (County Jail -- A beast on the boards and down low. Only 5'11" 280 pound guy I ever knew that could dunk. His brother was in and out of jail twice during my stay and was a complete fool.)

Ron (County Jail -- From Connecticut. He was a kleptomaniac who ran his own successful business but just couldn't keep his hands out of people's wallets. I really loved this old man and hate that I lost touch. He was a true Scrabbleologist.)

Matt (County Jail -- A kid that came into the county jail right before I was headed off to prison. He was a shooting guard trapped in a point guards body. Sweetest jump shot I have ever seen outside of professional basketball. It's a shame he got caught up and missed out on a promising college basketball career. I was never able to discuss the circumstances of his case as it was likely going to trial. He was 19 and facing 24 to life. His situation scared me straight.)

Colorado Department of Corrections:

Kenneth Darrel Holmes (I think his D.O.C. number was in the 96,000 range.)

Robert Nakamura (A good friend who was taking a heavy equipment class while incarcerated. I know he is doing well.)

Sonny Sepulveda (Young Sonny! Always used to give me shit about not having a left hand when I dribbled.

Mike Martinez (Everyone called him Mikey. He always looked stoned too! I think he was holding out.)

"Hooks" (Someone I completed boot camp with. I'd like to get up with a few of those guys, but his name is the only that rings a bell.) (Click here to subscribe to my feed!)
